An other ceramic addiction!!

Okee - i'm going overboard with my plaster molds.....
Making a new collection of flat dishes in my "Solid color" style.
A very simple basic design (many designers use this shape) - it is a sweet one.

Here are some pics of the work in progress in my workspace.
The dishes are greenware freshly scrapped and sponged clean to be bisc fired.

They look really pastel colored and i love this - i will be working on that but these
sweeties will be rather colored after there second high fire....
Soon you will see...i hope :)

That is strange!!

I opened up the kiln the other day.....and look what a strange thing had happen!!
I don't have a lot of broken ceramics in my ceramic artist life - but this was a strange one.

I tried to figure out what had happen but my brain could not find any reason.....
The other bowls made of the same stoneware clays and shape turned out the way they supposed to be.
In ceramics there will be always suprises lurking around the corner.....oh well keeps it intriguing.... :)

A creamy espresso cup set!!

Yehhhhhhhh the 144 cups are almost (20 more to go!!)  finished - and not even al 12 kinds of stoneware clays are in these pictures. The typical thing is i have noticed that i warm up after i have thrown like 15 of these cuties.......the model is in my hands, brain and life at the moment!! ;)

Keeping the cups close and with love ofcourse before they will arrive at there new home....

1. pure porcelain 2.PCLI paperclay (gives a lovely subtle texture) 3. Cream with medium spots and 4. cream with very fine spots - 'they make a lovely set!!

Today i had a walk from Rotterdam CS station and saw some nice items to make 

some pictures and this was one of them - many locks on a door three i have captured

 in the picture but there were two more!!
